    A life story animation, drawn one stroke at a time

    My Life, Animated turns your birth year and a handful of memories into a 40 to 60 second vertical comic that runs from the day you were born to today. There is no video model and no image library behind it: your browser calculates and draws every line, frame by frame. Wobbly pen lines, pressure-tapered ends, hatching, ink smudges and handwritten captions are all generated in code, so the same answers always produce the same film. In every panel, a tiny version of you grows a little taller.

    No photos, no uploads

    Your name, birth year and moments never leave your device. Saving the video records it inside your browser, so nothing is uploaded anywhere. When you share a link, only your answers are packed into the URL, and whoever opens it watches the exact same animation.

    When to make one

    Try it for a birthday, a 30th or a 40th, a wedding slideshow, a farewell or retirement party, or your parents’ anniversary: enter their birth year and moments and give them their own life story. The vertical video is ready for Instagram Stories and Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.

    Is it really free?

    Yes. There is no sign-up. Making the film, saving the video and sharing the link are all free.

    Where is my information stored?

    Not on any server. Your last answers stay in this browser so you can edit them later, and they go into the URL only when you share a link.

    Saving the video doesn’t work.

    It works in recent Chrome, Safari and Edge. Recording takes as long as the film, about a minute, so keep the screen on. If you opened the page inside Instagram or another app, open it in your regular browser.

    What does someone see when I send the link?

    The same animation draws itself from the start, and at the end they can make their own.

    Can I make one for someone else?

    Yes. Enter a parent’s or friend’s birth year and moments, and put their name in the name field.
